*Flyering tips submitted by DIY Signups*
A good way to spread some info in your community is to go to your library with a back pack and as many fliers as you can get and put them into the first page of new or popular books!
If there are any schools in your area try and get on the roof of the school and throw your fliers off the roof at the end of the day while the students are being dismissed.
Use your school or works' copy machines to make massive copies of your flyer so you don't have to pay for paper.
Pirate Radio
Sick of the misinformation, distortion and outright lies? Click on the icon to download an interesting pdf technical pamphlet on building a grounded or drive-by station. This is one way people and org's have used to clear the airways. Take notice: there are several laws about running your own station. Research those laws FIRST. If I had a radio station I would want to cover actual news. Check out the DIY Computer section for links to real news sites. I would also want to help my organization out by covering events. I would also involve alot of people because I would hate it if I wasn't well versed in FCC laws and had my one woman operation shut down. But alas..I don't have one.

Bad Media!
The media isn't telling the truth. This isn't wacko-tin foil hat conspiracy, this is fact. The station's are owned by giant corporations. You can't put a factual ad on television. Not convinced? Go ahead and try to get a commercial on any channel stating (white background, no hidden messages, monotone voice):
"Local telephone service providers in the U.S. bill 97 million households each month. At an average four pages per bill, that comes to approximately 388 million sheets of paper. To produce that much paper, mills have to process approximately 33,756 trees. Annually, more than 405,000 trees must be felled to let consumers know how much they owe their local phone company. These figures do not take into account the envelope, the return envelope, the check sent in response, the millions of small to medium-sized businesses whose bills average twice as many pages, long-distance service, which often gets billed separately, or wireless service." Good luck. Adbusters has been trying for this for years. Read more about Adbusters Media Carta campaign and get involved==
Adbusters Media Carta Creating awareness and knowing what you are talking about is very important in sharing progressive ideas with your community. There are a shitload of facts all over the net and street that talk about the problems that exist, the corporate stranglehold on what we see on our t.v.'s, the lies and distortions that news stenographers spread and the real deal on Media ownership. Use the links at the sides of the blog and the links below to find out why you should care, what's going on, and how these org's are changing all of that. Join their newsletters and stay up to date. These org's have been doing a great job and we see no reason for us to start another org when these exist.

Cable Access
Jello Biafra couldn't have been more correct when he said, "Don't Hate the Media, Become the Media!" Hosting and promoting alternative programming is our duty. The first obvious solution is to support Free Speech TV and like minded programming. Another answer to the media madness is starting your own show. Have we forgotten about cable access? Public Access Television allows anyone to have their own TV show, regardless of race, age, gender, handicap, religion, background, gender preference, party affiliation, residency, history, beliefs, status, class, or income. Knowledge is power, so first let us look at the following links for some history.

Common sense or not, there are laws and regulation's concerning public access. Let's check out what we are up against. First, there are Federal Laws. (click to view) We have the amended Act of '34 and section 76.702 of the '97 Code of Federal Regulations. Each State has regulations and of course every friggin' cable company has restrictions. You can find a list of every cable company in America by clicking HERE. Most providers have websites where you can find out more about local restrictions.
